This area, known as Navarinou, is a joy to discover, with tons of souvenir shops, interesting tattoo and piercing parlors, hip cafes, and local favorite hangout spots for drinks, lunch, and everything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-palette-color-3-color\">Tip<\/mark><\/strong>: While crossing this area, look out for Svolou Street. The area is home to a lot of interesting cafes, with good-quality coffee. Try &#8220;<strong><em>Dekaepta<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; a modern establishment popular with students, or go to <strong><em>Donkey Garden<\/em><\/strong> for a quick brunch. This patisserie shop was the birthday of this famous sweet, back in the 1940s and so it is often referred to as Trigona Elenidis. The crispy phyllo in the shape of a triangle is filled with decadent custard cream in front of your eyes.. or you can try one of the more modern versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"white-tower-of-thessaloniki\">White Tower of Thessaloniki<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The second to last stop is the famous White Tower of Thessaloniki. Originally constructed by the Ottomans, and once serving as a fortification and a prison, it now functions as an emblem and a museum. Great! This lively spot is ideal for people-watching and taking in the city\u2019s bustling vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here, make your way down to the <strong>Thessaloniki Port<\/strong>. Along the port\u2019s cultural promenade, you\u2019ll find attractions such as the <strong>Thessaloniki Cinema Museum<\/strong> and occasional exhibitions in the converted warehouse spaces.
